Vintage India cotton fabric handstitched Kantha coverlet throw picnic cloth or tablecloth, with unique block printed stripes and designs on recycled cotton. This handstitched authentic piece measures 82" long x 49" wide. Stitched in India - the handwork is obvious on this with the sides being simple long stitch (not seamed/hemmed) --- this reversible piece has two separate block printed soft vintage recycled cottons that have been handstitched together using a simple running embroidery stitch in ecru to hold the layers together. The ends are not machine seamed or hemmed -- the running stitches are not perfectly straight.
Please NOTE condition -- The fabric is recycled India cotton and therefore has some noticeable spots and a few discoloration stains that are permanent -- this piece has been prelaundered and these did not come out. Some of the stitching is loose / pulled -- The ends are not machine seamed or hemmed -- the running stitches are not perfectly straight. These imperfections are typical of older (not Pier 1) Indian cottons and the vintage-ness of this handstitched Kantha piece make it perfect for using in Boho home decor or apparel --- DO NOT PURCHASE if the vintage Indian cotton handmade imperfections are not your cup of tea.
SHIPPING INFO: The last photo shows how all fabric orders leave my shop -- neatly folded, tied with ribbon, wrapped in vintage pattern paper and topped with a unique thank you "card". Orders are shipped asap or as indicated in the listing.
